Set Weightage for Competency and Objectives

Learn how to set and adjust weightage for objectives during performance evaluations in BrioHR. This guide covers the instructions for assigning weightage when creating or editing objective items to ensure accurate performance scoring.

Set Weightage for Competency

The weightage for a competency determines its importance in the overall performance evaluation. You can set the weightage either while creating or editing a competency item.


1. Input Weightage When Creating a New Competency Item

    1. Navigate to the HR Lounge > Performance > Competency.
    2. Fill in the required fields for the new competency.
    3. Locate the Weightage field and input the desired value (e.g., 15%).
    4. Complete the rest of the fields as needed and click Save.

2. Input Weightage When Editing an Existing Competency Item

    1. Navigate to the HR Lounge > Performance > Competency.
    2. Click on the Edit button next to the competency item.
    3. Locate the Weightage field and input the updated value.
    4. To apply the changes in the current performance cycle, select the option Apply to Current Cycle before clicking Save.


Set Weightage for Objectives

The weightage for an objective determines its importance in the overall performance evaluation. You can set the weightage either while creating or editing an objective item.


1. Input Weightage When Creating a New Objective

  1. Navigate to HR Lounge > Performance > Objective.
  2. Fill in the required fields for the new objective.
  3. Locate the Weightage field and input the desired value (e.g., 15%).
  4. Complete the rest of the fields as needed and click Save.

2. Input Weightage When Editing an Existing Objective

  1. Navigate to HR Lounge > Performance > Objective.
  2. Locate the objective item you want to update and click on the Edit button.
  3. Locate the Weightage field and input the updated value.
  4. To apply the changes in the current performance cycle, select the option Apply to Current Cycle before clicking Save.

 

Important Note:

  • Weightage changes will only take effect in the ongoing performance cycle if you select the Apply to Current Cycle option.
  • Be sure to double-check the total weightage across all competencies to ensure accuracy in the evaluation process.
