      Additional Public Holiday in Malaysia : 15th September 2025 (Malaysia Day)

      With BrioHR, no action is needed in line with this announcement as we’ve updated our system to reflect the additional public holiday! 

      Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced that Monday, Sept 15 this year, will be declared an additional public holiday in conjunction with the 2025 Malaysia Day celebration.

      In line with this announcement, we've updated our system with a new public holiday, "Malaysia Day Additional Holiday," that has been added for all offices based in Malaysia.

      NOTE:

      This public holiday is automatically added to the system. If you prefer to disable it, please follow these steps:

       

      1. Go to Settings > Offices.
      2. Select the relevant office and click Edit (green pencil icon).
      3. In the "Edit an office" window, navigate to the Public Holidays tab.
      4. Toggle off  "Malaysia Day Additional Holiday"
      5. Click Submit to save your changes.
