How to Apply for Leave in BrioHR Mobile App

Learn how to apply for leave using the BrioHR mobile app. Step-by-step guide with instructions for full-day, half-day leave, attachments, and leave approval process.

Introduction

The BrioHR Mobile App allows employees to apply for leave quickly and conveniently. Before submitting a leave request, ensure you have downloaded the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and logged in with your credentials.


Step-by-Step Guide: Applying for Leave via BrioHR Mobile App

Step 1 - Access the Leaves Section

  • Log in to the BrioHR mobile app.
  • From the main dashboard, tap the Leaves button.
  • In the Leaves dashboard, you will see:
    • Leave Balance: Your current available leave
    • Upcoming Leave/Pending Leave: Requests awaiting approval
    • Past Leave/Canceled Leave: History of approved, used, or canceled leave

Step 2 - Apply for a New Leave

  • Tap the +Apply Leave button.


  • Select the leave type (e.g., Annual Leave, Medical Leave).
  • Tap Choose Date to select your desired leave period:

    A.  Start Date: Select from the calendar
    B.  End Date: Select from the calendar.

 If applying for a half-day leave:

  • Check the Half-Day box next to the date
  • Select either:
    • Half Day AM: morning half-day leave (0.5 day)

    • Half Day PM: afternoon half-day leave (0.5 day)
  • The system will automatically calculate the total leave days
  • Tap Choose (X days) to confirm your selection.

  • Provide additional details if necessary:
    • Justification: Reason for your leave, if applicable.
    • Attachment: Upload supporting documents (e.g., medical certificate)
  • Tap Submit Request (X days) to finalize your leave application.

Step 3 - Confirmation and Approval

  • Once submitted, your leave request will be sent to your approver.

  • An email notification will be triggered to notify them.

  • You can track the status of your request under Pending Leave in the Leaves dashboard.

Q1: Can I cancel a leave request after submission?

A: Yes. If your leave request is still pending approval or it has been approved, as long as the leave date is in a future-date, you can cancel it directly in the leave dashboard.
