Payroll Module Update

Take Control of Employee Medical Leave Summary Visibility

You can now choose whether to display an employee's Medical Leave summary directly in their payslip.

By default, the Payslip Medical Leave Summary feature is disabled, giving your organisation full control over whether this information is visible to employees.

Key benefits:

• 👁️ Greater visibility: Enable the feature to allow employees to conveniently view their Medical Leave summary directly in their payslips.
• ⚙️ Flexible configuration: Choose whether to display the Medical Leave summary based on your organisation's preferences and requirements.
• 🔒 Controlled by default: The feature is disabled by default, so you can decide when and if it should be made visible.

(MY) Ensure Accurate EIS Contributions with Automatic Category Selection

Just like EPF, employee EIS contributions can now be set to resolve automatically — no more manually updating an employee's EIS status when they turn 60.

Key benefits:

• 🤖 Automatic resolution: brioHR determines whether EIS applies based on the employee's nationality and date of birth at each payroll run.
• 🎂 Handles age transitions for you: Contributions automatically switch to Non related the month after an employee turns 60 — no manual tracking required.
• 🚩 Built-in safeguards: Payroll flags any Automatic employee with missing nationality or date of birth before the cycle can proceed, so nothing slips through unnoticed.
• 🔍 Full visibility: Hover over the tooltip during payroll run to see the resolved EIS status for each employee.

Time Attendance Module Update

Smarter Overnight Shift Detection with Automatic Clock-Out Attribution

When an admin or manager edits an entry for an overnight shift, brioHR now automatically recognizes whether the Clock-Out belongs to the same day or the next day, keeping shift durations accurate for every cross-day correction.

Key benefits:

• 🔔 Clear workday attribution: A banner confirms when a past-midnight or past-split-shift-time entry still counts toward the previous workday, so there's no second-guessing.
• 🧮 Accurate durations automatically: Shift duration, OT, and shift premiums/deductions recalculate correctly the moment the entry is corrected.
• 📱 Available everywhere: Works the same way on Timesheet Detail, Daily Attendance, and the mobile app.

Send Clock Data with Smarter SFTP & API Matching

Clients using SFTP or API integration can now choose to have brioHR intelligently determine each employee's actual first Clock-In and last Clock-Out from raw, unsorted attendance records — no need to pre-clean or pre-sort your data before sending it.

Key benefits:
