Payroll Update

Move Employees to Another Payroll Center in Bulk

Restructuring a team or moving staff to another entity? HR Admins can now move up to 200 employees at a time to another payroll center, or exclude them from payroll, from Admin Settings > Payroll Center > Change payroll center.

Key Benefits:

🗓️ Choose the effective month – Pick any month that’s still open for everyone you’ve selected. Months already paid are never changed.
🔍 Find the right people fast – Filter by name, employee ID, department, office, status or current payroll center, and keep your selection as you filter.
⚙️ Set payroll cycles – Turn on the cycles you need and set their weightage for everyone in the move.
✅ Review before you confirm – See who’s moving from where, who’s already in the destination, and who can’t be moved and why. Everyone moves together, or no one does.

ℹ️ The Change payroll center button is available for companies with payroll center history turned on.

Export Payroll Items to Excel

Auditing your pay item setup or sharing it with your accountant? You can now download every payroll item in a payroll center for a selected year as one Excel file, instead of reviewing the table page by page.

Key Benefits:

📤 One click, one file – Click Export to Excel in HR Lounge > Payroll > Settings > Payroll Items.
📑 One tab per item type – Additions, Deductions and Tax Reliefs (Malaysia only) each get their own tab, sorted A to Z.
✅ Statutory settings at a glance – See PCB, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, HRDF and EA Field for Malaysia, or CPF, CDAC, ECF, MBMF, SINDA, SDL, FWL and IR8A for Singapore, shown as Yes or No.
🧩 Nothing left out – Every item for the selected year is included, plus all custom items, whatever filters are on screen.

🛠️ Also enhanced: IR8A fields for Singapore payroll items – the payroll items table now show their IR8A field code (for example, D1.1). IR8A calculation and submission stay the same.

Group GL Reports and Xero Entries by Cost Center

Does your finance team book payroll cost by cost center? You can now choose Cost Centers as the accounting grouping for your GL Report and Xero, so each cost center gets its own debit and credit accounts.

Key Benefits:

🏷️ Matched by Cost Center ID – Each cost center’s ID appears in the GL Report item labels and Xero journal descriptions, ready for your finance system to match.
🔎 Nothing left out – Employees without a cost center are grouped under Unassigned, and a banner shows how many.
🔒 Your mappings are protected – While the grouping is in use, Cost Center IDs can’t be edited and mapped cost centers can’t be deleted. Renaming is still allowed.

Time Attendance Update

Monthly Overtime with Threshold

Pay overtime only after an employee’s total hours for the month pass a threshold you set. Monthly OT is now available to all companies, with separate settings for each payroll country.

Key Benefits:

🌏 A threshold per payroll country – Set separate monthly thresholds for Malaysia, Singapore and employees without a payroll center, plus custom months such as a shorter February.
📅 Choose which day types count – Include or exclude leave days, off days, rest days and public holidays. Excluded days are paid as daily OT at their own rates, so Malaysia’s rest day and public holiday OT rates are protected by default.
📊 Track progress on the timesheet – A running count shows how close each employee is to the threshold, and OT appears as soon as it’s crossed.
✅ Clear approvals – Managers or Supervisors approve Monthly OT once the month ends, and OT on excluded days day by day.

⚠️ Monthly OT approval is on the web app only for now. Monthly OT can’t be used together with Weekly OT or a custom cut-off timesheet period.
