This article provides a summary of all brioHR product updates released in Week 1 of October 2026.

Global HR Update

Introducing Organization Structure

brioHR now supports multiple organization levels, making it easier to reflect your company’s actual team structure.

Key Benefits:

🏢 Clearer team structure – Organize departments, divisions and sub-sections across multiple levels.

📊 Consistent information across brioHR – Reflect your organization structure across employee profiles, reports, payroll, analytics and approval workflows.

👥 Better employee organization – Assign employees to the appropriate team or sub-teams.

📈 Scalable as your company grows – Add up to 10 organization levels to support more complex structures.

✍️ More flexible document signing – Assign signing roles based on specific organization levels.

Bulk Upload Files to Employee Profile Documents

Save hours on recurring document uploads. Admins can now upload payslips, letters, and other files for many employees at once, straight into the same folder in their Profile > Documents, instead of opening each profile one by one.

Key Benefits:

📂 Upload up to 100 files at a time – Add files to Personal Files or any custom folder in a single upload.

🔍 Automatic employee matching – Each file is matched to the right employee using the Employee ID in its file name.

✅ Review before anything is saved – Check every match and fix the ones that need attention. No file reaches a profile until you confirm.

🔁 Retry failed files in one click – If any file fails to upload, retry only those files without starting over.

Public Holiday Update

2027 Public Holidays Now Available

Public holidays for 2027 have been added to brioHR, so you can plan leave and schedules for the year ahead. We've also added public holidays for more countries, including Japan, South Korea, Ivory Coast, Luxembourg and Mexico.

Key Benefits:

📍 Malaysian state holidays included – Both national and state public holidays are available for Malaysia.

🗓️ Plan for next year – 2027 holidays appear wherever public holidays show in brioHR, such as leave calendars, Who's Away, and Time Attendance rostering and timesheets.

✅ Enabled by default – The 2027 holidays are added to your offices already turned on. You can turn off any holiday your company doesn't observe in Settings > Offices.

💬 Can't find your holidays? – If 2027 public holidays aren't showing for one of your offices, contact us at support@briohr.com or through brioHR live chat.

Office Settings Update

Choose Whether New Public Holidays Are Enabled Automatically

When a public holiday is declared during the year, brioHR adds it to the affected offices. A new office setting now lets you decide whether these holidays are turned on automatically or added but turned off for you to review.

Key Benefits:

⚙️ Set it per office – Go to Settings > Offices, edit an office and open Public Holidays. Then use the toggle Automatically enable new public holidays added by BrioHR.

🛑 Fewer manual changes – With the toggle off, new holidays are still added but stay turned off, so the date remains a normal working day.

👀 Stay in control – You can turn on any of these holidays from the office's holiday list at any time.

✅ No change by default – The toggle is ON for all offices. It only affects holidays brioHR adds during the year, not ones you add yourself or the yearly calendar.

Payroll Malaysia Update

Alliance Bank SOCSO Bank File: New Format from 1 November 2026

Alliance Bank is introducing a new SOCSO bank file format that reports SKBBK (PERKESO Lindung 24 Jam) contributions separately from SOCSO. brioHR now switches between the previous and new format for you, based on the date you download the file (Malaysia time) — not the payroll month.

📅 Downloaded up to 31 October 2026, 11:59 PM → Previous format

One Contribution Amount per employee. SKBBK, if any, is included in this amount.

🆕 Downloaded from 1 November 2026, 12:00 AM → New format

The employee's Salary, SOCSO Contribution Amount, and SKBBK Amount are reported separately. The file total is SOCSO + SKBBK. Employees who opted out of SKBBK show an SKBBK Amount of zero.

Key Benefits:

🗓️ Format follows the download date – A file downloaded on or after 1 November always uses the new format, even for an October or earlier payroll month.

💰 SKBBK reported separately – From 1 November, Salary, SOCSO, and SKBBK amounts appear as separate fields, as Alliance Bank requires.

✅ Nothing to set up – There's no setting to change. The format is selected automatically when you download the file.

📝 No change to other bank files – Your Alliance Bank Payroll, EPF, EIS, and PCB bank files stay the same.

⚠️ Downloaded your SOCSO bank file in October but uploading it in November? Download it again on or after 1 November before uploading, or the bank may reject it.

Time Attendance Update

Choose Which Employees Sync to Each Timetec Device

You can now choose which employees are synced to each Timetec device — by office, department, or individual employee — so employees are only enrolled on the devices they actually use.

Key Benefits:

🏢 Sync by location or team – Select offices, departments, specific employees, or any combination for each device.

🔄 Always up to date – New joiners and employees who move office or department are added to or removed from the right devices automatically.

🧹 Automatic clean-up – Resigned and inactive employees are removed from devices, freeing up space.

🔍 Stay within the 800-ID limit – Keep each TC10 device to only the employees who use it.

✅ No disruption to existing devices – Devices you've already linked stay on "Sync all employees" until you change them.
