Payroll Malaysia Update

Choose Your Preferred Bank File Format for Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad

You can now choose to generate your Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad (SCB) bank file in Excel or TXT format, directly from your Payroll Center's Bank Account settings.

By default, existing SCB bank accounts remain set to the Excel format, so nothing changes unless you decide to switch.

Key benefits:

  • 📄 More format options: Generate your SCB bank file as a TXT file, formatted to SCB's official specification, in addition to the existing Excel format.
  • ⚙️ Flexible configuration: Choose the format that matches what your organisation's SCB banking portal accepts.
  • 🔒 No disruption: Existing SCB bank accounts default to Excel, so your current payroll process stays unchanged unless you opt to switch.
  • ✂️ Smarter name handling: Beneficiary names longer than 35 characters are now automatically truncated, so your bank file generates without needing manual edits.
