Learn how to manage job titles in BrioHR as an Admin by adding, editing, or deleting job titles easily. Maintain accurate employee records and streamline HR data management.

Introduction

Accurate management of job titles ensures HR teams maintain consistent and up-to-date employee records. In BrioHR, HR Administrators can add, edit, or delete job titles to maintain organized and accurate employment details.

You can modify an employee’s job title directly from their individual profile or update multiple records in bulk. However, job titles must first exist in the system before they can be assigned to employees.

Step-by-Step Guide: Manage Job Titles in BrioHR

A) Add a New Job Title

Log in to your BrioHR account,

1. Navigate to Settings > Job Titles.

2. Click +Add Job Title to create a new title.

3. Enter the desired job title > Click Save.

TIP:

Always search for the job title before creating one to avoid duplicates.


B) Edit an Existing Job Title

1. On the Job Titles page, locate the title you want to edit.

2. Click the pencil (edit) icon next to it.

3. Modify the job title name and click Save to confirm new changes.


C) Delete an Existing Job Title

IMPORTANT:

You cannot delete a job title if it is currently assigned to any employee.

The system will show a warning message with the employee's name. You'll first need to unassign the job title before deleting it.

1. On the Job Titles page, click the bin (delete) icon next to the title.

2. A confirmation pop-up will appear.

3. Click Confirm to proceed with deletion.

NOTE:

If the job title is not assigned to any employee, you are allowed to delete it.
