How to Apply for Next Year's Leave in Advance

In this article, we'll guide you through the steps to apply for leave in the year 2025 using both a web browser and a mobile app.

A) Applying for Leave via Web Browser:

  • Log in to your BrioHR account, click the Home icon, and select My Leave.
  • On the Leave dashboard, you'll see your Leave Entitlement, Leave Request Status, and History.

To apply for leave:

  • Click on the + Apply Leave button. A pop-out window will appear.


  • Choose 2025 from the Year dropdown, then select the Start Date and End Date.

NOTE:

To apply for a half-day leave, tick the Morning Only or Afternoon Only checkboxes next to the date box. The system will automatically calculate the number of leave days based on your selection.

  • Select the Type of Leave you wish to apply for.

CAUTION:
If you select the leave type 'Annual 2024 Carry Forward' to use in next year's (2025) leave, it will deduct from your current (2024) leave entitlement.

This will reduce your entitlement for the current year and may prevent you from using those leave days in 2024.




  • Add any Comments if necessary.
  • Upload any relevant Attachments by clicking the Choose File button.
  • Click Submit to complete your leave application.

  • Completion: A notification will appear in the top right corner, confirming your leave application was successful.
  • The applied leave will be recorded at 'Leave Requests Status & History - Year 2025' dashboard.

NOTE:

An email notification will also be sent to the approver(s) for processing.

B) Applying for Leave via Mobile App:

  • Open the BrioHR mobile app and navigate to the Leave section.
  • Click on the year 2024 in the top right corner of the leave page.
  • Select 2025 from the dropdown menu.
  • You can now view the 2025 leave dashboard. Apply for leave as usual by selecting dates from the 2025 calendar.
