How to Assign the New Tax Resident Category in BrioHR
Assigning the "Overseas Networks & Expertise Pass" category in BrioHR is straightforward.
Follow these steps to update an employee’s profile:
- Navigate to the Employee Profile
- Go to the employee's Profile > Payroll tab.
- Edit Payroll Information
- Scroll to the "General Payroll Information" section.
- Click the "Edit" button (green pencil icon).
- Select the New Category
- In the "Tax resident category" dropdown menu, choose "Overseas Networks & Expertise Pass."
- Save Changes
- Click "Save" to finalize the update.
Important Information
- CPF Contributions: Employees under this category are exempt from CPF contributions. However, contributions to other statutory funds, such as SDL, CDAC, and others, may still be required.
- Reporting: Once this tax resident category is assigned, it will appear in the following reports:
- Company Payroll Report
- Payroll Variance Report
- Onboarding > Payroll Details
