How to Assign Custom Work Schedule by Employees

Learn how to assign custom work schedules to employees in BrioHR. Follow our step-by-step guide for individual and bulk schedule assignments

By default, employees follow the work schedules assigned to their respective offices. However, there are instances where specific employees within a department or office may need to follow a different set of work schedules. This is what we called 'custom-assign work schedules for employees'.


To custom-assign work schedules to different employees:

Login to BrioHR account.

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Navigate to Schedules & Shifts.
  3. On this page, you will see a list of work schedules that have been created.
  4. To custom-assign work schedules for employees, click on Assign Schedule.
  5. By default, every employee's schedule shows  "Follow office schedule"
  6. You can filter employees by department or office.

Custom-assign Work Schedules to Individuals:

  1. Find the employee's name.
  2. Click on drop-down menu under "Schedules".
  3. Assign the relevant schedule.
  4. The modification will be captured automatically.

Bulk Assignment Work Schedules for Multiple Employees:

  1. Select the checkboxes next to multiple employees (or click the "Select all" checkbox).
  2. A bottom menu will appear
  3. Under "Assign schedule", choose the relevant schedule from the drop-down menu.
  4. Click Apply to save the changes.

You have now customized the assignment of work schedules for specific employees. This allows you to assign work schedules that differ from the default office schedule.
