How to Cancel Approved Claims in BrioHR

In many cases, approved claims need to be canceled when requested by an employee’s manager. Since managers do not have the authority to cancel claims they have already approved, they must contact HR or Admin for further assistance.

Steps to Cancel an Approved Claim in BrioHR:

Log in to your BrioHR account.

1.   Navigate to the HR Lounge.

2.   Go to the Expense Claims section.

You will be directed to the Expense Claims dashboard.

3.   Access the Claim Request page.

4.   Select the claim report you wish to cancel. Tick the checkbox next to the relevant claim.

5.   A bottom menu will appear with several options.

6.   Choose ‘Cancel Claim’ from the available options.

7.   A confirmation message will pop up.

8.   Click on 'Cancel Claim' to finalize the process.

9.   The canceled claim will be updated with a status of ‘Cancelled’.

Employees will receive an email notification if their approved claim is canceled.

On the employee’s My Claims page, canceled claims will be labeled as ‘Cancelled’.
