How to Create, Edit and Manage Posts in BrioHR Feed

Learn how to create, edit, delete, and pin posts in BrioHR Feed. Discover how to set post visibility, add media, and notify employees easily.

Introduction

The BrioHR Feed allows you to create and share updates, announcements, or event-related posts for employees to view. You can choose who can see each post - specific employees, departments, or offices.

NOTE:

Only users with access permissions can create, edit, or delete posts. If you do not see the post options in your Feed, please contact your Account Administrator to grant access permission.


Benefits of Using BrioHR Feed Posts

The post feature in BrioHR Feed is highly flexible and helps improve internal communication. You can:

  • Restrict post visibility to specific audiences.

  • Add images, video links, or attachments.

  • Mark the post as an event (displayed in the Event Calendar).

  • Pin posts to the top of the Feed for better visibility.

  • Send email notifications to post recipients.

NOTE:

Post creators will not receive the email notification themselves.

 


Step-by-Step Guide: Create a New Post in BrioHR Feed

Step 1 - Log In to BrioHR Account

Log in to your BrioHR account using your registered credentials.

Step 2 - Access the Feed

1. Navigate to Feed.

2. Click on the section "What would you like to share?"

3. A pop-up window will appear where you can create a new post.

Step 3 - Draft Your Post

1. Choose your audience under Share With.

2. Add a Title for your post.

3. Add your Post Description.

4. (Optional) Upload media or attachments. You can upload photos and file attachments, but only link videos (video uploads are not supported).

NOTE:
Supported file types for attachments are: 

.csv, .xls, .xlsx, .txt, .pdf, .docx, .jpg, .jpeg, .png

5. Tick This is an Event if your post relates to an event.

6. Select Pin this Post if you want the post to stay at the top of the Feed.

7. Tick Notify All Recipients by Email to send an email notification to your chosen audience.

NOTE:  The post creator will not receive this notification.

8. Click Post to publish your update.

Your new post will now appear on the Feed for your selected audience.


Step-by-Step Guide: Edit an Existing Post

1. Go to your BrioHR Feed and locate the post you want to edit.

2. Click on the three-dot icon (⋯).

3. Select Edit

4. Make your changes, then click Post to save the updates.

Step-by-Step Guide: Delete an Existing Post

1. Locate the post you wish to delete in your BrioHR Feed.

2. Click on the three-dot icon (⋯).

3. Select Delete.

4. A confirmation window will appear- click Yes to confirm or No to cancel.

Step-by-Step Guide: Pin an Existing Post

1. Go to the post you want to pin in your BrioHR Feed. 

2. Click on the three-dot icon (⋯).

3. Select Pin This Post.

The pinned post will now appear under the Pinned Posts section on the left side of your Feed.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. Who can create posts in BrioHR Feed?
Only users with the necessary permissions can create posts. Contact your HR Admin if you do not see the posting option.

2. Can I upload videos directly to the Feed?
No, you can only share video links (for example, from YouTube or Vimeo).

3. How do I make sure my post appears at the top?
Tick the “Pin this Post” checkbox when creating or editing the post.

4. Will I receive an email when I post an update?
No. The email notification goes only to your selected audience, not to the post creator.

5. Can I unpin a post later?
Yes, go to the pinned post, click the three-dot icon, and select Unpin.
