NOTE:
- You cannot completely remove an employee or their profile from the system.
- Instead, you can select 'End Employment' on the resigned employee's profile to revoke their user access.
- The employee will be automatically categorized as 'Inactive' and will no longer appear in the list of active employees.
- Only an Admin User with the necessary access can perform this action.
A) Changing Account Status from 'Active' to 'Inactive'
Follow these steps to 'End Employment':
- Log in to your BrioHR account and click on the People icon.
- Search for the employee's Name or ID in the search column.
- Click on the employee's name to navigate to their profile.
- On the resigned employee's profile, click the ellipsis ('...') icon next to the Edit button.
- Select 'End Employment' from the dropdown menu.
- Input the Employment End Date to revoke the resigned employee's user access.
- Click Save to complete the action or Cancel to abort.
NOTE:
- An employee listed as 'Inactive' will be automatically excluded from Payroll. The system will prorate the payroll amount according to the selected Employment End Date.
- If you do not see the ellipsis button, you do not have permission to edit an employee's end date. Please contact your Account Admin to enable this permission.
- An employee's profile will change from 'Active' to 'Inactive' once their employment end date has passed.
After completing these steps, you can double-check the status of the resigned employee by following these steps:
- Click on Settings.
- Click on Users.
- Search for the name of the resigned employee to view their 'Inactive' status and Employment End Date.
