Location tracking in BrioHR allows employers to capture employees’ clock-in/out coordinates without restricting them to a specific address. This feature provides flexibility for employees while ensuring employers retain accurate attendance records.

When location tracking is enabled, employees must clock in/out using the BrioHR mobile app, which captures GPS coordinates automatically.

Step-by-Step Guide: Setting Up Location Configuration in Time Attendance Policy

Step 1 - Access the Time Attendance Module

Log in to BrioHR account.

1. Navigate to HR Lounge > Time Attendance


Step 2 - Access Time Attendance Policy & Location Configuration

1. Go to Policy > Select any Time Attendance Policy to modify.

2. In the Time Attendance Policy, select Other Configuration.


Step 3 - Enable Clock In/Out with Location Tracking

1. Find the Geolocation section (Clock In/Out with location tracking)

2. Enable the toggle button.

3. Click Save.

NOTE:

Once this setting is enabled, employees must use the BrioHR mobile app to clock in and out.

They also need to grant the app permission to access their location first.

 

 

CAUTION:

Do not select "Restrict Clock-in Location" as this will restrict employees to a specific area.

To track location without restrictions, enable only "Clock In/Out with location tracking".
