We are thrilled to introduce a new feature on BrioHR that offers employees greater flexibility: the ability to modify details of past approved leaves within the current year.
Administrators now have the option to enable or disable this feature within the Leave Policies section under HR Lounge. When enabled, employees can adjust the date, justification message, and attachments associated with their past approved leave.
However, it's important to note that this modification feature does not allow changing the type of leave initially applied for.
Example: If an employee originally applied for Annual leave and later wishes to switch it to Unpaid leave, the system will not permit this alteration. This enhancement ensures a seamless and transparent process for leave modifications while maintaining the integrity of the original leave type.
Steps to Enable and Manage the Feature:
- Navigate to HR Lounge > Leave > Leave Policies.
- Scroll down to Leave Advance Settings.
- Find the option for "Allow employee to modify leave in the past" and choose to Enable or
- Disable based on your organization's preference.
By default, this option is disabled to maintain consistency with existing processes, but you can enable it as needed.
Example: An employee has an Annual leave submitted for the 12th of May, which has already been approved.
The employee can click on the approved leave, see the option to Modify Leave, make the necessary changes, and submit the request again.
The modified request will undergo the approval process once again, ensuring proper authorization. Once approved, the system will reflect the change and capture the modification in the timeline of the leave under See Details.
