How to Enable Finance Department to Approve Claims

You have assigned several employees as Claim Assignees in the Finance department, but they are unable to approve claims when accessing tasks under the 'Pending Actions' panel.

This issue arises because they currently lack the necessary access permissions to approve claims. Regardless of whether the assignee is from HR or Finance, they must have access to HR Lounge > Claims > Dashboard to approve employees' submitted claims.

This article is divided into two parts:

Step A: Setting The Approver For Claims

1.    Navigate to HR Lounge > Expense Claims.

Step B: Enabling Access To The Claims Module

1.    Go to Settings > User Groups.

2.    Select Edit (green pencil icon) for the Finance user group.

3.    Navigate to Pages Access > HR Lounge to enable access.

4.    Under HR Modules Permission, enable access to the Claim Module.

5.    For 'Allow module configuration,' select Disabled from the dropdown.

6.    Untick 'Perform actions on behalf of others.'

7.    Save to apply the changes.

NOTE:

By following these steps, Finance department approvers will have visibility of all employee claims and can approve only those they are authorized to, ensuring a streamlined approval process while maintaining control over reimbursement status.
