BrioHR allows employees to submit requests for new training events that align with their career development goals. These requests are subject to approval from designated approvers, ensuring that the training fits within company objectives and available resources.
This article will guide you through the steps to request the creation of a new training event, including linking costs to budget centers and checking the status of your request.
Step-by-Step Guide to Request a Training Event
Step 1 - Access the My Training Page
You can access the My Training page in two ways:
a) From the Home Page > click on My Training
b) From the My HR on the navigation bar > click on My Training
Step 2 - Browse the Training Catalog
1. On the My Training page, click on Training List
2. Click +Create training request
Step 3 - Create a Training Request
1. A pop-up window will appear where you can fill in the required details for the new training request:
- Training Name: Enter the name of the proposed training
- Training Cost : Provide the estimated cost
- Link Cost to Budget Center: Choose whether to link the cost to a budget center:
- Single Center
- Multi-Centers
- Budget Center: Select the relevant budget center based on the option chose above.
- Training Category: Categorize the type of training (e.g., technical, leadership, soft skills).
- Comment: Justify the event to help approvers make an informed decision.
- Description: Enter details such as training objectives, summary, key takeaways etc.
- Date & Time: Indicate when the training will take place.
- Location: Provide the training venue or platform.
- Attachments: Upload supporting documents such as brochures or training materials.
- Video link: Share any related video resources.
- Trainer details: If available, check the box to add trainer information.
2. Click Save to proceed with request submission.
Step 4 - Check Training Event Request Status
Once your request is submitted:

Go to the Training List to check its status.

A status of Requested means the training event is pending approval.
NOTE:
You will receive an email notification once the request has been reviewed and approved.How to Cancel a Training Event Request
1. Go to the Training List and search for the training event you previously requested.
2. Click the Cancel (X) icon to withdraw your request.
The training event status will change to 'Cancelled'.

A: Yes. You can submit multiple training requests, but each one will need separate approval.
