How to Set a Job Status as Inactive in HR Recruitment Software

NOTE:

By default, all job statuses are set to "Active."

Follow these steps to change a job status to "Inactive":

  • Access Recruitment: Go to HR Lounge and click on Recruitment.

  • Locate the Candidate: Navigate to Dashboard > All Candidates. Search for the employee's name and click on the three dots ("...") to select See candidate profile.

  • Change Job Status: In the JOBS APPLIED column, click on the green dot to switch the job status from "Active" to "Inactive."

  • Confirm Status Change: Once the job is set to "Inactive," the green dot will turn into a red "x" icon, indicating the job is now inactive.

NOTE:

This action can be undone by clicking the "x" icon again, changing the status back to "Active."

  • Visibility of Inactive Jobs: Jobs marked as "Inactive" will no longer appear in the APPLIED column under Dashboard > All Candidates.

NOTE:

Only jobs with an "Active" status will be visible in the APPLIED column under Dashboard > All Candidates.

  • Example A: When the "HR Executive" job status is set to "Active," both jobs are visible.

  • Example B: When the "HR Executive" job status is set to "Inactive," the job is no longer visible.

  • Impact on Open Jobs: If a job is marked as "Inactive" in the Candidate's Profile, it won't appear when accessing it from Dashboard > Open Jobs UNLESS the Display inactive candidate(s) advanced filter is enabled.

a.   Before applying the "Display inactive candidate(s)" filter: The candidate is not visible.

b.   After applying the "Display inactive candidate(s)" filter: The candidate becomes visible.

  • Including Job Status in Reports: In the Recruitment Report, accessible via HR Lounge > Reports, you can include the "Active/Inactive" status by following these steps:
  1. Go to HR Lounge > Reports > Recruitment Report.
  2. Select Jobs & Application Date.
  3. In the Fields & Filters tool, click on the Candidate Information category.
  4. Under the Active filter, click Add filter.
  5. Choose the values: Yes/No.
  6. Click Apply changes to include the filter before exporting your report.
