If something doesn't match
| What you see | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| An employee has no payroll data | Left out of the last bulk upload (an upload replaces everything, it does not merge) | Raise the missing employees with your IM so the complete, current file can be re-uploaded, including employees who resigned this year |
| PCB looks too high or too low for a new joiner | Missing TP3 figures | Give the TP3 figures to your IM to add to the New Joiners TP3 tab |
| PCB looks wrong for an employee with children | Child information counts or tax resident status are wrong (children claimed by a working spouse should be left out) | Review the Child information and tax columns |
| EPF, SOCSO or EIS amounts differ from your old system | Wrong EPF or SOCSO category, custom rate, or pay item contribution settings | Check the employee's categories and the pay item settings, and note every difference for your IM |
| HRDF total looks wrong | HRDF levy setting on the employee, or on a pay item, is wrong | Check the employee's HRDF levy and each pay item's HRDF setting |
| A custom allowance is taxed or contributed wrongly | The item's tax, EPF, SOCSO, EIS or HRDF settings are wrong | Check the item's settings against your Company Payroll Info template (Step 2) |
| Overtime, proration or unpaid leave is off | Calculation settings differ from what you intended | Review the pay day and calculation settings in the Company Payroll Info template |
| Year-to-date totals look wrong | A month or some employees are missing from the payroll history reports | Send the missing report to your IM so it can be migrated |
| A fixed allowance or deduction is missing from payroll | The item name doesn't match a pay item, or the dates are not in YYYY-MM-DD format | Check the item name against the pay items list, and the dates in your Fixed Allowance/Deduction tab |
