Know the Report and Export Limits (and the Workarounds)

The export limits HR Admins hit most — the 5,000-row leave export cap, no export of hand-picked employees — and the recommended workarounds for each.

Leave export: 5,000-row cap

Annual leave-management exports are capped at 5,000 rows. Workaround: download monthly reports (and/or reduce the number of leave types per export), then combine the monthly files into one master spreadsheet in Excel.

Exporting only hand-picked employees

Reports can be filtered by attributes (department, office, status…) but not by individual employee name. Download the full file and filter in Excel. (See "Export Employee Data in Bulk".)
