New Feature: Save and Edit Draft Claims in the Expense Module

Discover the latest enhancement to our Expense Claims module. We are excited to introduce the "Save as Draft" feature, designed to improve your experience by allowing you to save a claim as a draft. This ensures that you can return to it later without losing any progress, even in unexpected situations.

The "Save as Draft" feature allows you to revisit and revise your claim when you have more time. This feature is available on both web browsers and mobile apps.

NOTES:

  • Before saving a claim as a draft, you must provide a Report Name (mandatory). Other details like the Transaction Date, Claim Type, and Total Amount can be added later.
  • Draft claims cannot be submitted until all mandatory details are provided. Edit your draft claim to include these details, enabling submission.
  • Once all mandatory details are provided, the claim will automatically transition from draft status to a regular claim, ready for submission.
  • Draft claims can seamlessly integrate with regular claims that have an open status within a claim report.
  • The "Save as Draft" feature is available for all claim types except Cash Advance claims.

Steps to Save a Claim as Draft:

  • Navigate to Home > My Claims.
  • Click on + New Claim.
  • Fill in the Report Name.
  • Click on Save as Draft or Save & Add Another Draft.

Steps to Edit Draft Claims:

  • Navigate to Home > My Claims.
  • Locate the claim report, noting that the Submit button will be unavailable.
  • Click on the arrow button beside the report name.
  • If it's a draft claim, it will display DRAFT on the left-hand side.
  • Click the Edit button to add all mandatory details.

  • Once complete, click Save or Save & Add Another.

  • The edited claim, now containing all mandatory details, will no longer be in DRAFT status.
