Payroll Malaysia: How to Correct Custom Pay Items Not Reflecting in EA Form

Learn how to resolve issues with custom pay items not reflecting or appearing incorrectly in the EA Form in BrioHR. Follow these steps to ensure accurate EA Form mapping.

An employee's EA Form might face issues where a custom pay item is either:

a) Not reflected in the EA Form, or

b) Displayed in the incorrect section of the EA Form.

If you encounter this problem, it is likely due to incorrect EA Form mapping for the custom pay item.

It's crucial to understand that while default pay items are pre-configured and typically do not cause issues, custom pay items require precise configuration to ensure they are accurately represented in the EA Form.

Steps to Correct Custom Pay Item Mapping in BrioHR:

Log in to BrioHR > Navigate to HR Lounge > Payroll.

• On the Payroll Dashboard: Go to Settings > Salary Allocation & Default Items > Click List of Payroll Items.

• Locate the custom pay item (e.g., Performance Allowance) > Click the pencil icon to edit.

• A pop-up window titled 'Update Custom Item' will appear. Focus on the following:

a) Where should it appear in the EA Form?

1. Select the appropriate section of the EA Form where this item should appear, or choose 'None' if it should not be included in the EA Form.
2. Determine the correct section based on your specific needs.
3. The amount for this pay item will be reflected in the chosen section of the EA Form.

b) Where should it appear in the CP22A Form?

1. Specify if the item is 'Leave Pay', or it will be displayed as defined in the EA Form.

After mapping the pay item correctly, click Save.

Now, the pay item's amount should be accurately reflected in the selected section of the EA Form.
