Understanding Employee Turnover Statistics: How to Measure and Improve Workforce Stability
Employee turnover statistics indicate the percentage of employees who resign each month. This metric is crucial for assessing workforce stability and the effectiveness of retention strategies.
To view the employee turnover statistics in BrioHR, follow these steps:
- Go to HR Lounge.
- Navigate to Reports.
- Go to Statistics.
- Navigate to Attrition.
You will be able to see the statistics as shown in the screenshot below.
How is the Calculation Done?
Our system calculates the turnover rate percentage using the following formula:
[ Total Employees Left This Month / [(Total Employee Beginning Of This Month + Total Employee End Of This Month) / 2)]] x 100.
For example as per the statistic above, the employee turnover rate in March 2024 is 2.2%.
The calculation will be: [ 2/ [(92 + 90) /2]] x 100 = 2.2%.
