Understanding Payroll Variance: Amount and Percentage Differences Explained

A.  Accessing The Reports

  • In the HR Lounge, click on Reports.

  • Click on Report builder > Company Payroll Variance Report > Create.

B.  Viewing The Amount & % Difference

  • Select the Country (only one country can be selected at a time).
  • Select the Payroll Center (you can select multiple payroll centers within the same country).
  • Select the Mode: (Select the two months you wish to compare values)
  • Select the Granularity: "Show Employees Only" or "Show Employees and Departments Only".
  • To download the report, click the "Export Report" button.

After applying the filters, the table will display the following amount and percentage differences:

  • Basic Salary
  • Gross Deductions & Additions
  • Tax Relief
  • Gross Earnings
  • Employee and Employer Contributions
  • Total Employee and Employer Deductions
  • Net Deductions and Additions
  • Other Taxable Items
  • Net Pay

Amounts that have decreased will be displayed in red, while amounts that have increased will be displayed in green.
