Understanding Payroll Variance: Amount and Percentage Differences Explained
A. Accessing The Reports
- In the HR Lounge, click on Reports.
- Click on Report builder > Company Payroll Variance Report > Create.
B. Viewing The Amount & % Difference
- Select the Country (only one country can be selected at a time).
- Select the Payroll Center (you can select multiple payroll centers within the same country).
- Select the Mode: (Select the two months you wish to compare values)
- Select the Granularity: "Show Employees Only" or "Show Employees and Departments Only".
- To download the report, click the "Export Report" button.
After applying the filters, the table will display the following amount and percentage differences:
- Basic Salary
- Gross Deductions & Additions
- Tax Relief
- Gross Earnings
- Employee and Employer Contributions
- Total Employee and Employer Deductions
- Net Deductions and Additions
- Other Taxable Items
- Net Pay
Amounts that have decreased will be displayed in red, while amounts that have increased will be displayed in green.
