How to Add and Update Objective Progress in BrioHR
Learn how to view, add, update, and modify performance objectives in BrioHR using the My Goals dashboard. Step-by-step guide with FAQs and HR tips.
Introduction
The My Goals feature in BrioHR is your personal Performance Appraisal dashboard, accessible from the Home page or My HR > Goals. This feature allows you to:
- View the performance appraisal period timeline
- See objectives and add personal KPIs.
- Review assigned competencies.
- Add and track training or courses.
- Complete your self-appraisal form.
- Fulfill your 360 feedback tasks.
- Access the 1-on-1 section with managers and to record notes.

Step-by-Step Guide: Accessing My Goals Page
You can access the My Goals dashboard in two ways:
Option 1 - From the Home Page
Log in to your BrioHR account.
1. Click on the Home icon.
2. Select My Goals.
Option 2 - From My HR Page
Log in to your BrioHR account.
1. Click on My HR.
2. Select Goals
A) Viewing Objectives
1. On your performance dashboard, click Objectives.
2. You can see the predefined company and department-level objectives set by your HR.
B) Adding New Personal Objectives (KPIs)
1. Click on +Add Objectives.
2. A pop-out window will appear. Fill in the relevant fields.
What are the Key Result, Qualitative Goals and Contributing Goals?
- Key Result: Measurable goals (e.g., Increase revenue by MYR 100,000, or Reduce support tickets by 15%)
- Qualitative Goals: Non-quantifiable goals that support objective achievement (e.g, Attend APAC Sales Convention for networking and company brand awareness)
- Contributing Goals: Goals assigned to direct reports that contribute to your overall objectives (mainly for managers).
3. Click Save to add this new objective.
C) Updating Progress of Existing Objective
1. Click the ellipsis icon (...) > Select Update Objective Progress.
2. Update the progress of key results.
3. Tick the qualitative goal checkbox once you have completed it.
4. Progress will automatically update as percentages.
5. To leave a comment, tick Leave comment to key result/qualitative goal and add your remark.
If adding supporting document to justify your comment is required, click +Add Attachment.
You are allowed to upload documents with a maximum size of 10MB per file in these supported file types:

D) Modifying the Existing Objective
1. Click the ellipsis icon (...) > Select Edit Objective.
What if I do not see the option 'Edit Objective' ?
If you cannot edit, it means HR Admin has disabled permission to edit the objective after manager confirmation. Contact HR if changes are necessary.
2. Edit objective details or add new key results/qualitative goals.
3. Click Save.
