How to Enable Carry Forward Leave in BrioHR Leave Policies
Learn how to configure carry-forward leave settings in BrioHR to automatically transfer unused leave days into the next year. Step-by-step guide for HR Admins.
Introduction
The carry-forward leave feature allows employees to bring unused leave from the previous year into the new year. This ensures employees can reserve a portion of their unused leave instead of using their entire entitlement within the same year.
As an HR Admin, you must enable the carry-forward setting before December 31st each year so the system can automatically move all eligible unused leave balances at midnight on December 31st.
Once enabled, the configuration remains active for future leave policy years unless you make changes manually.
