If something doesn't match
| What you see | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| An employee has no payroll data | Left out of the last bulk upload (an upload replaces everything, it does not merge) | Raise the missing employees with your IM so the complete, current file can be re-uploaded, including employees who resigned this year |
| CPF looks wrong for a Permanent Resident | Wrong PR effective date or PR category (Graduated or Full Graduated) | Check the PR effective date and PR category on the employee's Payroll tab |
| CPF looks wrong for an employee aged above 55 | Wrong date of birth, so the wrong age band is used (rates for ages above 55 to 65 changed on 1 Jan 2026) | Check the employee's date of birth, and compare with the CPF Contribution Calculator |
| CPF amounts differ from your old system | Wrong resident category, CPF set as Non related, or a pay item with the wrong wage type (Ordinary or Additional wage) | Check the employee's settings and the pay item settings, and note every difference for your IM |
| A community fund, SDL or FWL amount is missing or wrong | The employee's setting is wrong, or the body isn't selected under Organizations in HR Lounge > Payroll > Settings > General | Correct the employee setting, and check the Organizations field |
| A custom allowance is contributed or reported wrongly | The item's wage type, CPF, SDL or community fund settings, or its EA/IR8A field, are wrong | Check the item's settings against what you agreed with your IM (Step 2) |
| Overtime, proration or unpaid leave is off | Calculation settings differ from what you intended | Review the pay day and calculation settings in the Company Payroll Info template |
| Year-to-date totals look wrong | A month or some employees are missing from the payroll history reports | Send the missing report to your IM so it can be migrated |
| A fixed allowance or deduction is missing from payroll | The item name doesn't match a pay item, or the dates are not in YYYY-MM-DD format | Check the item name against the pay items list, and the dates in your Fixed Allowance/Deduction tab |
