Learn how managers can modify employee schedules in BrioHR Rostering by changing work days to rest days and vice versa. Step-by-step guide for shift-based and flexible hours employees.
Introduction
The BrioHR Rostering feature allows managers to modify an employee's schedule by changing work days to rest days or rest days to work days.
For example:
- Employee Z normally works Monday to Friday. However, if he is required to work on weekends, his rest days can be replaced on other days during the week.
- In this case, the manager can update the roster so that his workday becomes a rest day, meaning he won't need to clock in.
The same concept applies if you want to change a rest day to a work day, which will be treated as a normal working day (without overtime rest day calculation)
Step-by-Step Guide: Changing Work Day to Rest Day

1. Navigate to Team > Team Attendance.
2. Select Rostering.
Step 2 - Update Day Types for a Direct Report
