How Managers Can Mark a Direct Report as Absent in BrioHR

Learn how managers can easily mark a direct report's attendance as absent in BrioHR. Follow our step-by-step guide to update attendance records accurately and ensure compliance.

If a team member is absent from work, their reporting manager can easily mark their attendance as absent from the Team page.

Why Managers Need to Mark Employees as Absent

This ensures that the employee’s attendance is accurately recorded in their daily timesheet. The company can then assess whether further action is needed for employees who frequently miss work without valid reasons.

Where Can Managers Update Absentee Status?

Managers can mark a team member as absent from two locations:

  1. From the Daily Attendance page.
  2. From an employee's timesheet page.
