This article provides a summary of all BrioHR product updates released on Week 1 of May 2026.

Time Attendance Module Updates

Hybrid Attendance for Flexible Work Arrangements

With this new feature, employees are no longer restricted to a single clock-in/clock-out method. Instead, they can seamlessly use web browser, mobile app, or integrated attendance devices depending on their work arrangement for the day.

Payroll Module Updates

Cost Center Details Now Available in Payroll Reports (Global)

A new “Cost Center” field has now been added to the Payroll Report generated during payroll processing. This enhancement is available in Stage 2: Review and Confirm of Payroll Processing, where users can download the draft payroll report before proceeding to the final payroll stage.

With this update, the draft payroll report will now also capture each employee’s assigned cost center details, making it easier for HR and Finance teams to cross-check payroll allocations and validate records before finalisation.

Easier CP8D Employee Record Consolidation (Malaysia)

A new option, “Combine employees with the same MyKad/Passport number in the same year”, is now available in the system. When enabled, employee records sharing the same MyKad or Passport number within the same payroll year will be automatically combined into a single CP8D PDF/TXT record.

In addition, users will also be able to download a report containing the list of combined employees for easier tracking, verification, and audit purposes.
