How to Resolve "Unable to Compute Payslip" Warning
When running payroll for the first time in BrioHR, particularly for a new payroll center, you may encounter the following warning message:
"Unable to compute payslip: EPF should be enabled for Malaysian payroll centers to ensure accurate PCB calculation."
Why Does This Happen?
This error occurs because the EPF (Employees Provident Fund) has not been selected for your payroll center. To prevent this, you must ensure that EPF is enabled in the [Organizations] section, regardless of whether an individual employee is contributing to the EPF.
Important: You are enabling EPF at the company/payroll center level, not at the employee level. For information on enabling an individual employee's EPF, please refer to this article.
How to Resolve This Warning:
To resolve this issue, follow these steps to enable EPF for your payroll center. For more information, please refer to this article
Log in to BrioHR.
- Navigate to the HR Lounge.
- Click on Payroll to access the payroll dashboard.
- Select Settings.
- Go to the General tab.
- In the Registration Information section, locate the Organizations section.
- Locate the section for Organizations.
NOTE:
Check the boxes for EPF and any other relevant statutory bodies your company contributes to.
- Click the Save button to apply the changes.
Once you’ve completed these steps, you can proceed with the payroll cycle without encountering the warning message.
