Leave Data Migration and Verification: Start Here
Start here to set up and check your Leave data in brioHR: the order to read the articles, what each covers, and links to the PDF guides.
Audience & Scope
Audience: HR and admin teams setting up brioHR for the first time
Module: Leave
Country: Malaysia, Singapore
Pre-requisites: Implementation kick-off meeting with your Implementation Manager (IM) completed; Leave data migrated or about to be migrated by your IM
Leave builds on your employees' data (Profile & Dashboards): every leave record is matched to an employee by Staff ID and email. So complete and verify your Employee List first, then come to this one.
These articles help you fill in the Leave Application Record Template, the one template that sets up your whole Leave module: your approvers, your leave types and their rules, and each employee's opening balances. They then help you confirm everything landed the way you intended, before employees start applying for leave. If you get stuck, your Implementation Manager (IM) is happy to help.

| How to complete the documents | Where your data goes, step-by-step instructions for each tab, plus an example. | Fill in the template and send it to your IM. |

Part 2: Data verification
Your leave policies, approvers and opening balances are now in brioHR. Before employees start applying for leave, these articles help you confirm everything landed the way you intended. Wrong setup is difficult to fix later, and wrong opening balances are the most common cause of questions on day one.
| # | Section | What you'll do |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Verify your data, step by step | Work through ten checks inside brioHR, then compare using reports. |
| 2 | What to look out for | Do a final scan of the trickiest spots for each data group. |
| 3 | If something doesn't match | Match what you see to its likely cause and fix. |
| 4 | Sign off and next steps | Confirm everything is ready before employees are invited in. |
